About the Role
Software engineers will:
- Ship code
- Perform code reviews and pull requests
- QA product features
- Pair program
- Participate in iteration planning meetings, retros and interviews
Requirements
About You
- 2+ yrs experience developing MVC web applications in production
- Motivated by an interest in software craftspersonship and improving your skills
- Value object oriented design (for Ruby applications), best practices, and automated testing
- Approaches work with empathy, and conversations about work with respect and humility
- Self starter
- Some Ruby or Rails experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in improving the health and wellness of large and diverse patient populations
- Must be based in the US
...And the following would be nice
- Experience working at early-stage startups, contributing to open source projects, or organizing in the community
- Experience in healthcare or social work
- Experience with front-end tools and frameworks
- Experience with search technologies (e.g. Elasticsearch or Solr)
- DevOps experience
